The FSL Program runs in three 6-week levels to advanced (CEFR B1 / NCLC 5). An optional Expert level — delivered through our TCF & TEF test-preparation add-on — takes you to CEFR B2 / NCLC 7.
Each level runs for 6 weeks. Complete all three to graduate at CEFR B1 / NCLC 5, then add the optional Expert level to reach CEFR B2 / NCLC 7.
6 weeks · Absolute beginner — no prior French required.
Learn French pronunciation from the ground up, build core grammar, and develop the vocabulary for greetings, introductions, numbers, time, and your immediate surroundings.
6 weeks · Everyday communication and the past tenses.
Build the language for daily life in French: shopping, travel, appointments, and social situations. Talk about the past, read simple texts, and write short messages with confidence.
6 weeks · Fluency and confidence — the FSL graduation level.
Develop all four core skills with equal attention. Express opinions, narrate stories, and handle school and workplace situations with the fluency and confidence that define CEFR B1 / NCLC 5.
6 weeks · Optional upgrade via TCF & TEF test preparation.
For students who want to go beyond the FSL program, the optional Expert level upgrades you to CEFR B2 / NCLC 7 — the level recognized for Canadian immigration, academic admission, and professional French — through dedicated TEF Canada and TCF Canada preparation.
Application deadline: 4 weeks prior to the start of classes. Late admission may be possible depending on actual intake capacity.
Speak with an advisor about your goals and current French level. We'll help you map out the FSL Program and, when you're ready, the optional Test Preparation add-on.
