About Us
The MCC Story
Established since 1993, Metropolitan Community College is a Canadian post-secondary institution registered with and designated by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills in the province of British Columbia. The designation process is customarily rigorous and in-depth. It represents an assurance to the public that the College has met (and continues to satisfy) the rather expansive academic and administrative oversight of the regulatory agency.

The College is also recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as a Designated Learning Institution (DLI #O19329963492). The DLI designation allows International Students who want to study in Canada to apply for a Canadian Study Permit, thus creating a diversified learning environment for students from all around the world. Our students who are enrolled in most of our programs are allowed to work part-time (up to 20 hours per week) while studying full-time.

Recognized by British Columbia Education Quality Assurance (BC EQA), Metropolitan Community College has been well established and proudly received recognition from various organizations whose representative emblems are shown below.

At Metropolitan Community College, we have always been updating our program offerings in order to ensure our programs exceed the knowledge demand of the evolving economy. Thus, our programs are not only professionally designed to be high quality but also unique with "forward thinking". Most of our courses are delivered in small class size with interactive and immersive teaching. Our college is truly a community of learners with a liberal approach that allows courses to be accessible to learners from all social and cultural backgrounds. The Advisory Board regularly examines the competencies of our programs to ensure our students' academic and career goal is achieved by active learning.

Proudly Canadian. Pride in Quality. Prepared for the Future.
